Chaos Chess
A game of simultaneous moves and strategic gambits.
Welcome
Ready to challenge the chaos?
Chaos Chess is a unique twist on the classic game where both players plan their moves for the turn simultaneously. There's no waiting for your opponent to finish their move! Submit your strategy, and watch the turn resolve. Conflicts are settled by our unique rules, leading to exciting and unpredictable outcomes. Capture the enemy King to win!
- Standard Moves: Pieces move just like in standard chess. The following rules describe the chaotic differences.
- Simultaneous Planning: Both players plan their moves for the turn at the same time.
- Destination Conflicts: If opposing pieces move to the same empty square, the piece that takes longer to arrive wins and captures the other. If they arrive at the same time, both are destroyed.
- Friendly Fire: If friendly pieces try to move to the same square, both of their moves are cancelled.
- Path Blocking: A sliding piece (Queen, Rook, Bishop) will capture the first stationary enemy piece in its path, ending its move there. A stationary friendly piece will block the move entirely.
- Path Interception: If a piece stops on a square that is in the path of a moving enemy piece, the piece that arrives at the square *later* captures the piece that arrived earlier.
- Winning the Game: The first player to capture the opponent's King wins!
